Las Vegas North Strip

Las Vegas North Strip has been revitalized with the opening of the luxurious Venetian, Encore and the elegant Wynn Las Vegas. This helped level the playing field with the Southern Strip and should raise the bar for future developments on the northern strip.

The north end of Las Vegas Boulevard was home to many of the classic Las Vegas hotels including Stardust and the Sahara. The Stardust was demolished to make room for the Echelon project that was under construction but has seen an extended delay with no mention of when construction will resume.

The Fashion Show Mall, the city's premier shopping complex, is located on the Las Vegas North Strip. It is the largest shopping center in Vegas with over 200 stores, an entertainment complex and a food court.

Las Vegas North Strip Hotels

Harrah's has over 2,500 rooms. This European carnival theme hotel features Carnaval Court, a entertainment and shopping complex with 14 retail outlets. Entertainment includes, Improv Comedy Club and Legends in Concert. Harrah's has a full-service spa, swimming pool, and large casino.

Venetian is one of the most spectacular mega resorts. It re-creates of the architecture of Venice with nearly exact reproductions of well-known landmarks such as St. Mark's Square, Rialto Bridge and a 315-ft tall Campanile Tower overlooking the Grand Canal.

The Mirage has over 3,000 rooms and a range of attractions. Tropical gardens, a blue lagoon and waterfalls give it a South Sea Island theme. The volcano that erupts every 15 minutes, the Dolphin Habitat and Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden attracts plenty of visitors to the Mirage.

Treasure Island is located next to its sister hotel, the Mirage. The hotel's pirate theme is played out in a spectacular Sirens of TI show. The casino is 90,000 square feet with plenty of gaming options. Amenities include swimming pool, night clubs, Cirque du Soleil's Mystere many different dining choices.

The Wynn Las Vegas is the ultimate luxury hotel in Las Vegas. The 217-acre hotel has more than 2,700 rooms and suites in it's 50-story tower. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows providing a magnificent view of a man-made lake.

The historic Riviera Hotel opened in 1955. The Riviera has than 2,000 rooms. This hotel retains the "old Vegas" atmosphere. This is one of the least expensive hotels on the strip. The Riviera Comedy Club entertains you with comedians and ventriloquists.

Las Vegas Hilton is located a block from the Strip. 2,900 rooms and amazing views of the Las Vegas Valley. 1,600-seat theater showroom featuring top headliners, seven fine dining restaurants and a monorail station right on the premises for easy access to the rest of Vegas.

Circus Circus is known for the wide variety of attractions if has for adults and kids. Three casinos spread over 100,000 sq ft and at the rear of the hotel is the Adventuredome, the largest indoor theme park in the country.

The classic Sahara has 1,720 rooms and opened in 1952. The resort has added two new towers, Moroccan-style arches, palm trees and cascading fountains over the past few years.

Stratosphere is away from the main attractions at the northern tip of the Strip. But it offers it's own attractions such as the 1,149-ft high Stratosphere Tower - the tallest observation tower in the U.S. providing unparalleled views of the city.
